The video game company Animoca came up with this unique game back in 2019. This game is based on Ethereum and players could use the in-game currency to trade and buy rare items and cars which also had value in the real world. For example, a jewel-encrusted car in the game had a real-life value of around $100,000.

The game became an enormous hit among fans and those interested in crypto. Many gamers even invested a lot of real-life currency in this game. However, all the time and resources spent on this game mean nothing anymore. The game lost its official license with Formula One, resulting in its shutdown. All those in-game currencies now don’t have any value. The developers have apologized for it and compensated those gamers with alternate game tokens for their other crypto-based games.

Other F1 games to enjoy

F1 Delta Time isn’t the only game that fans and gamers could enjoy. But there are many more Formula One-based games that fans can experience.

One of the most famous games has to be Electronic Art’s F1 series. The latest game in this series is the F1 2021, where fans can not only join their favorite Formula 1 team to compete against others but also start their own F1 team. Further, this game also has a multiplayer mode, that lets players play against other players. The game is extremely popular in Esports. There is also a mobile version for fans to enjoy on their mobile phones.

But if EA’s F1 series is too much, and the fans have little time for the simulation experience, then fans can try Formula 1’s official fantasy game. Here, fans can create their own team using the $100 million in-game currency. Subsequently, players compete against friends or other players to win their own leagues or global leagues. Also, the game’s pointing system depends on the real-life race results.
