Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel’s on-track fights are what comes to our mind when we think about insubordination at Red Bull. The battles were fierce with many team orders disobeyed. However, as a Red Bull veteran recently tried to cover up his own insubordination, an F1 mogul exposed cunning Christian Horner’s reality. Let’s see what the reality is.

We all know Christian Horner from what we get to see during the race weekend and the comments & statements made by him to the media. The Red Bull TP has a very strong stand for his team and doesn’t seem like one who’d accept any sort of insubordination. In the Formula for Success podcast, Coulthard talks about the Chinese GP where his teammate Mark Webber was fighting with him for positions. Eddie Jordan suggested that Coulthard disobeyed an order when the team asked him to let Mark Webber by. As the Red Bull Veteran was explaining how he was faster, Jordan cut him and suggested that Horner is too clever and wouldn’t have asked Webber to pass if Coulthard was faster.

According to the podcast, Jordan said, “But David, you disobeyed an order. You were told to let Mark by and you didn’t do it.” Coulthard defended himself and replied, “I was quicker. I had new tires” Jordan cut him short and explained, “No you weren’t. He wouldn’t have made that instruction. Christian Horner is far too clever for that. You’re making up stories. Mark Webber was asked to pass you and you wouldn’t let him.”
