Italian F1 journalist, Leo Turrini, pointed out that there are options if Binotto were to be replaced. He said the first option was Frederic Vasseur, head of Sauber Alfa Romeo. And the other possibility would be Antonello Coletta, who manages Ferrari in the GT sector.
Talking to CalcioMercato.com, Turrini further stated, “For sure Elkann will make Binotto weigh the Mercedes brace in Brazil. There is a lot of chatter and it is inevitable. […] But it would be a mistake. […] Changing to change is not a guarantee of victory. […] But Binotto must remain alone if he has the full confidence of the top management.” [Translated from Google]

On the other hand, Martin Brundle thinks otherwise. He responded to Naomi’s take with disagreement. He said, “Unless they can find someone they are absolutely certain will do a better job, they might as well go with the guy they know and give him the support.”
