Formula 1 set up its tents in the United Kingdom last weekend, the home turf of the sport’s biggest superstar, Lewis Hamilton. Returning home, every driver has a bounce in his step and an unparalleled desire to perform at his peak. Hamilton has proven time and time again how the cheers of the local crowd provide him with something extra at Silverstone.
The Brit has an imperious record of eight wins on his home turf. Also, he clinched the world record for most podiums at a circuit by finishing P3 on Sunday.

This time around, Hamilton‘s camp featured a star who provided him the motivation at Spanish GP; a 5-year-old little girl diagnosed with a terminal illness, Isla. Ahead of the Barcelona weekend, she spoke to her hero virtually, but the British driver was adamant to meet her in the future.
Silverstone is where the Mercedes driver welcomed her with open arms and treated her to the most memorable experience. In the past, the seven-time world champion admitted to using her words as the means to give him that extra push. In the British GP, when fighting against Red Bull and Ferrari, her words could have been the reason behind Hamilton’s perseverance.

“We are incredibly grateful for all the kindness you showed to Isla over the weekend, even stopping during your busiest times to give her a quick cuddle. Thank you for making my little girl smile. You know this already, but Isla adores you 🫶🏻💜”
