This time around, Hamilton‘s camp featured a star who provided him the motivation at Spanish GP; a 5-year-old little girl diagnosed with a terminal illness, Isla. Ahead of the Barcelona weekend, she spoke to her hero virtually, but the British driver was adamant to meet her in the future.

Silverstone is where the Mercedes driver welcomed her with open arms and treated her to the most memorable experience. In the past, the seven-time world champion admitted to using her words as the means to give him that extra push. In the British GP, when fighting against Red Bull and Ferrari, her words could have been the reason behind Hamilton’s perseverance.

The mother of the 5-year-old took to social media to express her gratitude to Isla’s role model. She said, @lewishamilton, this photo shows what a true gentleman you really are & it’s a photo I will treasure forever.”

“When we found out how poorly Isla is, we asked her where she would like to go on holiday & which places she would like to visit. Her only reply was ‘go and see Lewis’ and I cannot thank you enough for making this wish come true.”

“We are incredibly grateful for all the kindness you showed to Isla over the weekend, even stopping during your busiest times to give her a quick cuddle. Thank you for making my little girl smile. You know this already, but Isla adores you 🫶🏻💜”

F1 Twitter’s Heart Melts with Lewis Hamilton’s Gesture

The link-up between the seven-time world champion and Isla won the hearts of every fan of Twitter. The fans were in awe of Hamilton’s gesture and also of his performance coach, Angela Cullen.
