Red Bull has been on the offensive ever since the ruling of the FIA has come out. The penalty that has been dished out on the Milton-Keynes-based outfit has been met with polarizing views. However, according to an ex-F1 star, the team has been hyping up the penalty.

RB was handed a $7 million fine and a 10% wind tunnel testing time deduction. However, according to Hans-Joachim Stuck, the Bulls are probably blowing the whole ramifications of the penalty out of proportion.

He spoke about the impact of the FIA’s penalty on Red Bull to ServusTV. He said, “I am convinced that Red Bull is already so far ahead in planning that it will only have an effect the following year. Then they will definitely be in good shape.” 

“I think it is excessive to turn the penalty into a number now: we have to wait and see.”

Things aren’t exactly smooth sailing in the RB camp, though. After the news broke out that Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz had passed away, reports suggest that there is going to be a reshuffle of the hierarchy at the Milton-Keynes-based outfit.

The pioneer that Dietrich Mateschitz was is evident looking at the storied history of Red Bull in Formula 1. They are relatively a new team but have contested and beaten the established goliaths of the game. It was all down to Mateschitz’s vision. However, come his death, change beckons. But what does that spell for team principal Christian Horner?

According to reports, RB Leipzig’s CEO Oliver Mintzlaff will take control of the racing team. These reports also suggest that “Team principle Christian Horner insisted things would not change day-to-day for Red Bull with Mateschitz having put in place ‘a very strong foundation for the future’.”
