The revolving doors at Ferrari seem to finally have come to a halt. The man who’s going to replace Mattia Binotto in the Ferrari hot seat has seemingly been appointed. That being said, he hasn’t exactly been welcomed into this role with open arms by F1 fans.

We’ve known this for a while now, but if reports are to be believed, the team from Maranello will soon announce Alfa Romeo’s team principal, Frédéric Vasseur, as Ferrari’s newest team principal. Vasseur would be the fifth appointment since 2008. And the fans have warned him about what is to come.

According to the reports, Ferrari‘s chairman, John Elkann, and Vasseur, have dotted all the I’s and crossed all the T’s on that Ferrari contract. That being said, Formula 1 fans are more perturbed than ecstatic at this news. Let’s take a look at just a few fan reactions to this breaking news.

Even though the general mood has been one of apprehension, there were a few fans that believe Vasseur is exactly the man who can lead the Scuderia to glory.

That being said, the majority of Formula 1 fans aren’t exactly getting on the Vasseur hype train.

 

F1 fans have warned the outgoing Sauber executive about his troubles. However, ex-F1 boss Peter Sauber has also issued a warning to Vasseur.

He told Blick, “If you know the history of Ferrari – back to the company founder Enzo – then you know that the team bosses usually have a short life. With the exception of Jean Todt, who ruled there for over twelve years.”
