F1 Fans Put Felipe Drugovich’s Plan Into Action As Lawrence Stroll & Co. Served a Heavy Blow Ahead of 2023 Season

Even before the 2023 F1 season began, British team Aston Martin faced a massive blow. The team’s star driver, Lance Stroll, has met with an injury that has ruled him out of the upcoming testing in Bahrain. Given the value Lance Stroll has in the team, this has come as a tremendous loss for Lawrence Stroll and his team. Amid all this, the F1 community has put reserve driver Felipe Drugovich into the plan for Stroll’s replacement in the Silverstone-based team. The fans voiced their support by keeping another reserve driver, Stoffel Vandoorne, out of Drugovich’s way.

In a recent development, Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll was subjected to a minor injury during training with his bike. It was reported that the injury might rule the 24-year-old out of the three-day testing in Bahrain. The testing is all set to commence at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 23-25.

As per F1, Stroll shared, “I’ve had an unfortunate accident whilst training. I am determined to get back in the car and I am excited about the season ahead with the team. I am motivated to bounce back from this setback as quickly as possible.”

Drugovich is a promising driver who won the 2022 F2 championship. Interestingly, he is also linked with McLaren as their reserve driver. However, some fans also shared if this was a part of El Plan by Fernando Alonso in order to have all the testing time by himself and reach realistic but high goals. However, all of this was all pure banter!

Aston Martin are yet to announce the substitute driver who will take Stroll’s place in the team. If one of the two drivers is given a chance, it is likely to be Felipe Drugovich given he is an upcoming star and can be utilized by the team in the future. Otherwise, the team might opt for Stoffel Vandoorne.
