The final triple-header of the season recently came to an end with the eventful Qatar Grand Prix and it certainly was an ecstatic stint as Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari portrayed sheer dominance against the rest of the grid. And then, there’s Lando Norris.

While Red Bull garnered a total of 104 points from the trio of weekends, it was 86 points for Mercedes with Ferrari tagging along, securing 47 points. Crucially though, McLaren, when they desperately needed to step up amidst their intense battle for P3 in the constructor’s championship, endured nightmare performances since Mexico.

Norris, in specific, who had already upped the expectations of the fandom with his absolutely consistent performances since the very start of the season, struck a rough patch. So, how much do you think Norris has scored since Mexico?

4 points are what Norris managed to secure. Funnily enough, F1 chose to put up his name under a fan question; who impressed you most in the triple-header?

Lando Norris triggers a troll fest with his comment

The McLaren driver decided to choose himself as the best driver of the latest triple-header. He wrote, “#4“.

Such audacity! Well, the fans weren’t going to give up that easy, were they? His comment triggered a wave of hilarious comments from the fans.

While a few laughed at Norris choosing himself, a lot managed to relate his racing number with the points he scored in the triple-header.

He was 13th on the list, sharing equal points with Kimi Raikkonen. However, his teammate, Daniel Ricciardo, couldn’t even make it to the list which pretty much rounds off McLaren’s dramatic fallback since the heartbreaking Russian GP.

Lewis Hamilton the best driver of the triple-header?

Well, we’d say so. Yes, Verstappen started off well with a dominant show in Mexico. However, then arrived Hamilton’s fightback at Interlagos. Starting from P20 on the grid for the sprint, finishing P5 only to start the main race from P10. But, despite coping with 25-place worth penalty, he ultimately lifted the big trophy.

Then arrived Qatar where he proved to be unstoppable against a trying Verstappen. Hamilton yet again won the race, but the only regret he might have? Well, missing out on the fastest lap point. Nevertheless, a strong showing from the 7-time world champion.
