Max Verstappen won the 2021 Formula One world championship. He was a class apart from the rest of the field as he took the title away from Lewis Hamilton on the last lap of the season. Other than Verstappen, the returning two-time world champion Fernando Alonso was one of the drivers of the season; the Spaniard put in some impressive performances for Alpine.
Recently, F1 Journalist Jennie Gow took to social media to have a poll regarding the two drivers. She asked who would be winning in equal machinery between Alonso and Verstappen.
Alonso is unstoppable!!!! Or is he??? It’s one of the clashes of the competition…Alonso or Verstappen? In equal machinery who comes out on top??? Vote now 🗳 #F1WorldCup2021 #F1.

Max beats every driver on grid in equal cars. But still vote Alonso imo to keep the poll somewhat respectable 😭
Also since 2022 cars are changing & Alonso has got a lot of experience to adapt in different categories. He might be able to get up to speed quicker than others

“It’s not that I support Max. I think he deserves it or he was driving. In my opinion, as I said, everyone has a different opinion. I think he was driving that Red Bull to another level.” said the Alpine driver.
