The Australian GP is back on the calendar after a 2-year absence. The race was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. However, the race at Albert Park is all set to take place this weekend. More importantly, there have been some major changes to the track. The track will now feature 4 DRS zones. And the fans have been going bonkers over this news.

Since the announcement of the Australian GP featuring 4 DRS zones, the F1 fans have gone into a frenzy. It is a first in the history of Formula 1, as no circuit in the past has had more than 3 DRS zones. Take a look at some reactions from the fans to this news.

Amid all this, one thing is for sure, the race is looking all set to be a super exciting affair with a ton of overtaking opportunities.
F1 is heading to Danny Ric’s home race
The Australian GP will provide McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo an opportunity to go out and have a good showing in front of his home crowd. The Australian has had a far from ideal start to the season under the new regulations. And even before that, he contracted Covid during Bahrain testing but was able to make it back in time for the season opener.

The second race at Jeddah saw him retire as he lost drive in his car. He is yet to score a point this season and will be hoping the streets of Melbourne are where he secures his first top-10 finish of the season. His teammate Lando Norris scored his first points of the season last week at Jeddah with a solid P7 finish.
