Nicholas Latifi has recently become a blockbuster in the meme world. The Williams driver is notoriously famous for crashing at the most vital points in a race and turning the entire race tangent around. Many would agree that Latifi is responsible for Max Verstappen’s last-minute win at the Abu Dhabi GP. If not for his crash, Lewis could be celebrating his eighth championship.

Latifi joined Williams F1 back in 2020, replacing Robert Kubica. Teammate and former F2 world champion George Russell consistently outpaced him and was at times the sole point bringer for the teams. Williams has sadly given some very underwhelming performances in the past few years and needs drastic changes in order to make it to the top 10. The team sadly barely qualifies as a midfield competitor and is often dabbling at the very end of the grid.
Nicholas Latifi feared ahead of the Australian GP
Nicholas’s driving and his ability to crash at any moment is often laughed upon. While there’s no doubt that the Canadian is a very talented driver, he can often fail to maneuver an F1 car in the best way possible. His recent crash came at the Saudi Grand Prix, and it arguably made Sergio Perez lose his P1 spot in the race.

But it wasn’t a bad day for Red Bull as Verstappen clinched away the race win from Charles Leclerc in the last three laps. Twitter, always unforgiving, was very quick to react to both the crash and the upcoming GP.

How Latifi dealt with all the trolling last year?
Interestingly enough, the incident involving Latifi during Abu Dhabi GP last year proved to be lucky for Red Bull. A similar incident in Jeddah eventually gave victory to Max again. Subsequently, the Canadian faced brutal online trolling and was quite upset about it. However, many drivers supported the 26-year-old and believed that it was not fair to make him the target of their angst.

The trolling also resulted in the man putting out a statement after the brutal criticism of the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP. While he might not be the very best of drivers on the grid, we believe the Canadian will surely be able to build on his skills in the near future. As for now, we hope for a safe race and a wonderful time for all the fans ahead of the Australian GP this weekend.
