Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez are in Australia, and they’re getting into the spirit of racing. The Red Bull pair were extremely unlucky at the Bahrain Grand Prix. But redeemed themselves at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Now in Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix, they are looking to win it all. Moreover, to get into the spirit of the Grand Prix, Max and Sergio acquainted themselves to a local Australian delicacy.

Packed in a jar, the pair tried an Australian spread. And Twitter took its turn to guess what it really is.

Max Verstappen is not a fan of Vegemite

Max and Sergio tasted a famous Australian spread. Let’s just say it wasn’t to Max’s liking. Visibly not happy after tasting a spoon of the spread, Max Verstappen wouldn’t want to try it again.

This, however, gave Twitter an excellent opportunity to guess the contents of the mystery jar. Twitter is having a field day with Max’s reaction after the whiff, followed by a taste.

The thing in the jar in question is vegemite. It’s a thick dark brown spread, native to Australia. It is usually consumed spread over a toast. However, Max did not get the memo and tasted the spread raw, directly from the jar.

The effects should definitely wear off till the race. Currently, in excellent form from the last race, both Max and Perez would want to win the upcoming race and gather maximum points.

Coming back to racing, Ferrari is the only actual competition Red Bull has to worry about if Mercedes does not turn things around soon. The Ferrari pair of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz has been exceptional in the first two races.
