The new season brought in many new rules and regulations. The 2022 season has been one of the few seasons when the entire sport took a huge makeover. Now, with these, a directive has come from the race director. However, this isn’t a new rule to be implemented, as many believed.

According to SoyMotor journalist Antonio Lobato, the new rules might have to do with drivers and their personal belongings. He conveyed, “By the way, the message from the race director to the teams: No jewelry, chains, or piercings will be allowed in the race from this grand Prix. Hamilton is going to have to remove earrings from his ears and piercing from his nose…”
However, it is believed that the rule is not new. It has been implemented keeping in mind the safety of the drivers. A user pointed out that it was a rule that got implemented in 2005.

How has Lewis Hamilton fared this season?
The last lap showdown at Abu Dhabi still haunts the seven-time world champion. Max Verstappen snatched the victory from Lewis at the very last lap. Otherwise, that could’ve been a new record for him. Despite the setback, Lewis came back to fight for his eighth world title, and this time with more determination.

Great start to the season. We gave it our all and ended up with the best result we could have. Well done to the Ferraris, great to see them share the podium. Big week of work ahead but I know we got this pic.twitter.com/p3HXaIR1XF

However, the season hasn’t gone the way Hamilton expected it to be yet. When you chase a world championship, you need to have a great car. This time, Mercedes seems to have something short. Not only do the Silver Arrows suffer from porpoising, but their power units also don’t seem strong enough to fight the likes of Ferrari or Red Bull.
