After a tough season and certainly an underwhelming debut with Mercedes despite finishing fourth in the championship, Britain’s second most beloved driver, George Russell, is back in the Formula 1 car! The driver joined the team and, after the session, looked ever so excited to be back on the track!
On his social media, the driver updated his fans about his return, which certainly gained a lot of love from everywhere. Apart from the track pictures showcasing his iconic 2020 Mercedes single race helmet, on his stories, Russell captioned the team’s official post, “Oh how I’ve missed driving an F1 car” and wrote “100+ laps later. Pretty knackered after being out of the car for 8 weeks but so glad to be back!!” his photo post-session caption reads.

The comments on his “Feels good to be back!” post ranged from congratulating the driver on his return to taunting the team and him about feeling “great” in the backache machine W13. On the other hand, fans being fans, they weren’t shy about posting thirsty comments on both Instagram and Twitter. But most importantly, they were quick to declare “Mr. Consistent” the 2023 champion, in a display of faith in him as well as the team.

George Russell has gained a huge number of fans following his exceptionally consistent performances in the 2022 season. Outperforming his teammate and country-mate, he has undoubtedly emerged as the front-runner ahead of Lewis Hamilton. And his fans are making sure that everyone knows that.
