Charles Leclerc, Ferrari’s golden boy, has been overshadowed by his teammate Carlos Sainz. The Monegasque driver has not been performing at par and Ferrari is left wondering if they made the wrong choice by letting Sainz go instead of Leclerc. The slump is real and the 26-year-old is currently swimming in it.

Peter Windsor, the former General Manager of Ferrari, recently took to a podcast and dropped some words of wisdom to help Charles Leclerc get back into form.

Ferrari has high hopes for Charles Leclerc as he has demonstrated his skills on the track several times. Known for setting really strong qualifying times, he has failed to deliver in the races. In the last two years, Leclerc had scored more points than Carlos Sainz, but this year, things are the other way around.

About this, Peter Windsor said, “Charles Leclerc’s still got all the talent in the world. He just needs to get out of this; it’s a bit like having the putting yips in golf. ” After explaining why the French driver is not doing as expected, the F1 pundit continued, “He just needs to get out of this business of one-lap qualifying and just get the lap time in there and be up there, in front of the grid where he should be. Then everything will be fine.”

This advice might seem simple, but it is what needs to be done. Performing during a flying lap is always good, but keeping up the consistency is what the Ferrari driver has lacked. Next year, he will be up alongside Lewis Hamilton, a driver who has already proved himself to be a living legend. While Leclerc is still struggling to perform in 2024, there is one key piece of information that he was aware of that no one knows.

Charles Leclerc was pre-informed of Lewis Hamilton’s transfer

The Formula 1 circus had moved to Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix and this brought in a chance for Aussie reporters to get some intel on everyone’s favorite drivers. In this list was Charles Leclerc, who was asked by FOX Australia about his reaction to Lewis Hamilton’s transfer news.

The Monegasque remained calm and responded, “I knew it since quite a few months that it was a possibility. That it was on the table uh obviously then uh it was still a surprise to learn that there was opportunities of this happening.”

This prompted another question from the reporter about how what challenges Leclerc will face while racing with Lewis Hamilton.“Obviously, Lewis will be joining the team which is an amazing challenge for me because he’s the most successful driver in F1 history and it’s going to be great to have him as a teammate,” Leclerc said.
