“Was I robbed? Obviously. I mean, you know the story,” said Lewis Hamilton in an interview with GQ. There has been a polarizing divide in the F1 world where half the people agree with Hamilton and the rest of them don’t. On paper, he is still a 7x champion chasing his 8th, but he hasn’t even had a win in the past 2 years, let alone come close to his most important dream – the 8th championship. This is touted as the biggest reason behind his shock switch to Ferrari. However, if the F1 ‘prophets’ are to be believed, it may not come easy at Ferrari.

Before the start of the 2024 season, Ferrari announced they will have the man from Stevenage on board the red machine from 2025 onwards. This news sent clear shockwaves into the F1 circus and outside. It raised one of the most prominent questions – who will be the Golden Boy of Maranello when a 7x champion goes against the man who is still waiting for 7 wins in F1? With the question still unanswered, an ex-F1 driver has made a concerning prophecy.

According to Formule1.nl, former Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya thinks it won’t be long before Hamilton and Leclerc clash. He recently expressed his concerns in the media about the future Ferrari line-up. “It will be interesting to see how smoothly the collaboration between Charles and Lewis goes. I think the two will clash on a personal level, anyway. That will be nice to see.” If this happens, Hamilton’s 8th championship dream may not come by easily.

Though this might still be up in the air (or not), one thing is certain. The other teams have brought the fight to Red Bull. Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur, who has a concerning prophecy to disprove, has made a shocking assessment of Red Bull’s status quo.

Lewis Hamilton’s future boss declares Red Bull’s downfall

Two different drivers from two different teams pounced on the chance to grab the race win when Max Verstappen and Red Bull fell prey to circumstantial weakness. But if we were to believe the boss of Red Bull’s closest competitor camp, the reigning champions are not in their comfort zone anymore.

Fred said, “They are not anymore in the comfort zone of last year where it doesn’t matter what happened – after Lap 2 they were in front. I think that’s a game changer in the management of the race. I think this is an opportunity for us because if we are doing another small step, I think we will be in a really good position to fight with them every single weekend.”
