F1 enthusiasts have many things they will look forward to this season, and Aston Martin will certainly be among them. One very significant personality who has played a part in driving the outfit to this level is Lawrence Stroll.
The Canadian billionaire took over a team that was effectively in administration and gave it the identity of Racing Point. In a matter of just two seasons, the ‘Pink Panthers’ have become among the most efficient teams on the grid.
Speaking in an interview, former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan had some words of praise for Stroll. He believes that the 61-year-old is currently the ‘smartest instrument’ in the sport at the moment.

Lawrence Stroll has been a revelation, explains former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan
Jordan stated, “Never, ever rule out the father, Lawrence Stroll. He has that Midas touch, everything he does he turns to gold. He is the smartest instrument in Formula 1 at the moment, without any question.”
Under the leadership of Stroll, Racing Point have emerged from lower midfield contenders to become favorites in the top three battle. The win from Sergio Perez in Sakhir put the icing on a cake that has displayed a solid foundation and an industrious spirit.
“He has been a revelation, he’s one of the greatest entrepreneurial minds that you could get. Everything he does turns to gold, whether it’s Michael Kors, whether it’s Tommy Hilfiger, whether it’s the fragrance brand, whether it’s a jeans company. Everything that he does,” concluded Jordan.

Naturally, with the recruitment of Sebastian Vettel and a new rebrand, Stroll would expect to see further improvements from the team in 2021. He has also seen so much of his vision come true so far, with Aston Martin now a key contender for P3 alongside McLaren.
However, the new driver pairing combined with renewed machinery might just lead to an outside chance of achieving P2. Displacing Red Bull from that predicted position would be a tough job, but that will always serve as motivation.
