Red Bull has been the news in 2022 for all sorts of reasons. Safe to say, the Milton-Keynes-based outfit has had a busy year. Recently, they capped the whole season off in style by winning both the Driver’s and Constructors’ Championships. But as it would appear, controversy is never too far for the Bulls.

Red Bull had been embroiled in the whole cost cap saga. Once that concluded, you’d imagine the Champions to keep it all low-key. However, after comments from Sky Sports’ Ted Kravitz, the Bulls came back into the spotlight.

Kravitz made comments about Max Verstappen ‘robbing’ Lewis Hamilton of his eighth title. This prompted the team to boycott the British broadcasters for the Mexican Grand Prix weekend. That being said, the Director of Sky Sports recently visited Red Bull‘s factory. This has sent shockwaves throughout the F1 fandom, and they’ve come out in spades to show their reactions on Twitter.

Verstappen was offended by the comments made by Kravitz and hence, the team decided to boycott Sky Sports. About the whole incident, Verstappen said, “It had nothing to do with this weekend, but this year. It has been a constant kind of digging and being disrespectful, especially from one particular person. At some point, it is enough and I don’t accept it.”

In light of the whole situation, the Director of Sky Sports visited the factory of the Bulls at Milton Keynes. Fans were quick to swarm Twitter to share their reactions to this piece of news. Let’s take a look at just a few of the fan reactions on Twitter.

Red Bull went against the British broadcasters after they thought there was an unfair bias against the Dutch driver. Even though the fans have been divisive about the whole scenario, fans weren’t too pleased about the fact that the Director of the media house was ‘clearing the air’ with the team.

The team had come out with a statement after the race telling the media that the boycott was indeed over. “Some of the commentary is fair but some pieces are sensationalist, and saying we robbed anyone of the championship, as was said in Austin, is going too far. It is not impartial or fair or balanced. We have said our piece and will go back to normal next race.”
