It was another frustrating outing for Ferrari at the Dutch GP. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz both had a discouraging race as they finished P3 and P8, respectively. At the front of the grid, Max Verstappen fended off both the Mercedes to bring home his second consecutive home Grand Prix win.

While Max Verstappen edges ever closer to his second World Title, Ferrari had an afternoon to forget. Charles Leclerc dropped from P2 to finish the race in P3 while Carlos Sainz tumbled down the pecking order even further. Seeing this, Nico Rosberg had a few stern words for Mattia Binotto, as they messed up another race.

The German told Sky Sports F1, “Oh my goodness, Mattia Binotto keeps saying ‘no, no, we don’t need to make any changes, everything is going well’. I mean, when is the day coming? It’s not possible [to carry on as it is].”

“Even Formula 2 teams or Formula 3 teams do a better job at their strategy and pit-stops than Ferrari.

The former World Champion was furious due to the lack of action inside the Ferrari camp and believes that Ferrari are widening the gap between them and Red Bull.

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz is left to rue as his team mess up yet again

In what was supposed to be an exciting afternoon at Zandvoort for Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. Especially for Carlos Sainz, who would have hoped to challenge Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. Instead, he ended up fighting with mid-field cars towards the end.

After the race, Carlos said“Yes, it was a mess, the whole race in trouble, first with the confusing pit stop that we had and the yellow flag in which I saved myself by very small margins, and then the unsafe release.”

“I find this very frustrating and I’m going to speak with the FIA now because I don’t understand it.” said Sainz.

Carlos’ dissatisfaction was evident as the Spaniard felt the penalties he received bore severe consequences to his race. Additionally, he added that Ferrari were losing out on the race pace and he was unhappy the way his car felt.
