We are heading into Azerbaijan GP. With the doubleheader slated in the calendar, meaning Miami GP isn’t too far either. While the initiation of Formula 1 is still underway in the land of Star and Stripes, another step has been taken to let the audience warm up to the sport and the man who graces American events like Coachella and Met Gala seemed like the best fit for it. Lewis Hamilton has become the chosen one to grace the F1 Accelerate Summit at the Miami GP on Thursday. But this has now given the LH Army an opportunity to take digs at the unchosen reining champion Max Verstappen.

Miami GP will be the first of the record-breaking three GPs that America will see this year. Ahead of the same, an event described as an opportunity for trailblazers from various fields including sports, and ones who have made a mark not only in their own field but across industries and culture will be conducted. In attendance will be the seven-time world champion and not the reigning one. Lewis Hamilton has always raised his voice and been a harbinger of change and perhaps that is why he has been picked to represent the drivers community and the sport of F1.

The Race stated, “Following an introduction by Domenicali and Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei, the six-hour event will begin with a session described as ‘a fireside chat with Sir Lewis Hamilton’ on the theme of ‘the catalyst for change’.”

Hamilton, who is currently producing an F1 film featuring Brad Pitt, often speaks passionately and publicly about his interests outside of his motorsport career, including promoting diversity and inclusion. Perhaps that is the reason why fans have now come out with their own declaration.

The official account of Formula 1 has around 22 million followers. Add 10 million to that, that’s how many people are following Lewis Hamilton. The man has ruled the sport and how. In the day and age of social media, dominance may roughly translate into one’s social presence. Perhaps cashing on this, the first American GP of 2023 has an interesting plan laid out to snub Max Verstappen for ‘the catalyst of change’ Lewis Hamilton.
