“I’d like you to design my helmet for my home race in July! Get creative, send in your designs as a reply and I’ll pick my favorite and wear it for the French GP! Can’t wait to see what you all come up with!” said Ocon. It looks like the fans may have taken the get creative part to heart.

Ocon took to Instagram to share the most outrageous but hilarious designs that the fans came up with. One of the designs has the infamous Valtteri Bottas painting on the lid. It would be really funny if he picks one of these designs for France.

The Frenchman finished FP2 in P9 and was almost half a second behind his teammate. The main reason for his lack of performance compared to Alonso was the porpoising issue he faced on the track. Ocon revealed he felt he might lose his helmet to explain the extent of the issue.

“The head is all over the place. I felt I was going to lose my helmet at the end of the straight line. It’s quite tricky for everybody, it’s important to get a feel for that. That’s what we’ve done today. It’s just painful on the body, really. I can feel it on the neck, it’s getting me smaller–hopefully, I will lose a couple of centimeters!” said Esteban.
