Formula 1 drivers live their lives in the fast lane. With a packed schedule, there isn’t really much time for any driver to bask in the glory of their own legends! A testament to this is the case of Esteban Ocon. The Frenchman came to the principality last week and put in a solid Qualifying performance. Starting the revered Monaco GP from third on the grid, the Alpine driver went on to finish on the podium! However, as soon as he was done, Barcelona came calling!
Formula 1 fans have the distinct luxury of enjoying two back-to-back race weekends. This means that the flying circus of F1 now travels to Barcelona, for the Spanish Grand Prix. Ocon, however, chose to take the long route, maybe to enjoy his podium a bit more. Safe to say, after an eventful race in Monaco, Estie-Bestie had another eventful day on the tarmac planned!

At this point, we all know how rigorous the life of an F1 driver can be. A strict diet and a strict schedule is common to them. But Ocon, after his Monaco heroics was in the mood to treat himself to a road trip and a well-deserved meal.
The 26-year-old Frenchman took to his Instagram account to share pictures and moments from his 7-hour-long drive from the principality to Barcelona. On the way, Ocon made a quick pit-stop at McDonald’s to treat himself to a burger and some chicken McNuggets!
Ocon would’ve arrived in Barcelona by now. But he surely will still be reveling in the magical memories he’s made in Monaco.

The joy was palpable as Ocon drove his Alpine to the chequered flag and bagged a podium for the team after a two-year-hiatus. In tricky and changeable conditions, Ocon kept his cool and powered his team home for a memorable third placed finish.
After the race, Formula1.com quoted him as saying, “I’m speechless, I’m on a cloud at the moment – I don’t know what to say! Before the weekend, if you told us that we were going to be in the top 10, we would have been happy, you know? But it’s not the top 10, it’s not the top 5, it’s a podium! We are on it, and the energy I’ve received from everyone from [this] weekend has been awesome.”
