As he managed to beat Lewis Hamilton in his very first season at Silver Arrows, the young Briton managed to garner quite a fanbase for himself. Being one of the most popular and meme-worthy drivers in the sport now, Russell is also known for his topless pictures apart from being good behind the wheel. In 2018, George Russell was still an F2 driver, and that was when he met Ferrari legend, Kimi Raikkonen. Raikkonen, who was with Ferrari back then, made it a meeting to remember for Russell.

Talking about this at the 2021 Dutch GP press conference, the Mercedes shared, “The first time I spoke to Kimi, the conversation ended with him twisting my nipples at the F1 FIA gala in 2018.” Russell awkwardly laughed and continued, “He’s one of a kind.” On a side note, we believe Russell wasn’t topless in front of the Iceman.

The former Williams driver went on, “Huge amount of respect for everything he’s achieved on track and off the circuit. [This] is where you know he’s a bit of a legend,” he concluded.

Known for being savage, Kimi Raikkonen retired from Formula 1 in 2021 after having an illustrious career stretching nearly two decades. During this time, the Finn not only won races but also took home a title in 2007.

During an interview at the Turkish Grand Prix a few years back, Raikkonen and Russell were asked if they loved watching the James Bond movie. On this occasion, the duo gave the fans believe how different they are when tallied up against each other.

The then-Williams driver then went on to say a few things about the movie before it was Raikkonen’s turn. When the host asked Raikkonen about the same, the Finn replied, “Good movie,” and there was pin-drop silence. Soon after this, he asked back, “Why don’t you go and watch it and you find out?”
