One of the many issues Lewis Hamilton actively works on outside the paddock is trying to make his lifestyle as sustainable as possible. So, in a bid to reduce his carbon footprint and avoids air travel whenever possible. He travels by road whenever there is Grand Prix held in Europe. Mercedes used this to take a dig at Hamilton, who hasn’t shown up in Imola yet.
All other teams and drivers have reached, with Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris being sighted around the track. Williams’s George Russell even took the time to have a jog around the track, as seen on his Instagram.

Mercedes joke about Lewis Hamilton getting lost on the way to Imola
When Hamilton tweeted out a picture of himself standing next to his car, captioned, “Next stop, Imola,” Mercedes‘ social media found the perfect opportunity to troll the seven-time world champion.
Joking about the fact that he hadn’t yet reached Imola, they tweeted out, “He must have got lost.”

Hamilton might aim for a second win in Imola
The number 44 driver achieved an amazing win at the opening race in Bahrain. Despite having no rear grip, the Knight had an intense last-lap battle with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and came out on top.
Now, for the second race of the 2021 season, they go head to head at Imola for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Lewis will aim and keep the Dutchman in his rearview mirrors, while Verstappen will do everything to get his first win for the team and himself.
