The Tesla and SpaceX CEO and now the current CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, outlined his plan on Twitter. Since he took over the social media platform, there has been massive changes in the platform and the organization in general. After the monthly fee for getting a blue tick, Twitter has now brought in the latest feature of adding official ‘gray’ labels for authenticity.

Earlier, Elon Musk made it very clear that to have a blue tick in the profile, the user has to pay $8 per month. And now the famous entrepreneur has brought in the gray label. Many experts have raised their concern that giving the blue tick can lead to many scams in the future.

To bring a distinguishing factor between real and fake IDs, Twitter has started giving legitimate organizations and different celebrities a ‘gray’ badge.

Esther Crawford, a Twitter employee, cleared the idea behind the badge as she said, “The idea was to verify reporters so their identities couldn’t be used to push false information on Twitter. Musk had previously floated designating official accounts in a way other than the blue check.” 

Confirming the announcement, Will Buxton took to his Twitter account and wrote, “Interesting! Twitter seems to be handing out a new “Official” badge to organisations/accounts it recognises as legit in addition to verified ticks.”

A lot is going on since the official announcement, as Elon Musk and his team were quite clear on their strategy.

A few hours ago Elon Musk tweeted on his Twiiter account, “Please note that Twitter will do lots of dumb things in coming months. We will keep what works and change what doesn’t.”

Surely he was talking the truth as many formula 1 teams like Alpine, Mclaren, and Red Bull have got the official ‘gray’ badge but now they are removed. Twitter is loaded with hilarious reactions after the experimental run of the Billionaire.

At first, the Motorsports team felt delighted after receiving the official tag, but soon after the tag got removed, all the Formula 1 teams gave hilarious reactions, and even the fans weren’t left behind.  Twitter F1 fans give some hilarious reactions.

Mclaren wrote,” We are official.”

 

 

The French team wrote after the badge was removed, “Was fun while it lasted.”

A Mclaren fan commented  and said, “Breaking news: The $8 just put McLaren over the cost cap.”

Only Elon Musk can tell what’s going on in his head. In the mean time the Twitter users would hope that the platform become more refined with the recent updates and experiments.
