The resurgent Fernando Alonso is enjoying his life in the premier class. Most would discount a 38-year-old to race in F1 again after leaving the sport, which Alonso did in 2018. However, the Spaniard shocked the world with his return to the sport at 40, with Alpine. Now, heading to Aston Martin at 41, Alonso might already be planning his future beyond his new team.

Alonso has showcased time and again that the two-time world champion still has what it takes to survive in the premier class. Not just survive, the Spaniard is showcasing blistering speed for Alpine.

This is exactly what earned the two-time world champion a move to Aston Martin. The move surprised many just one year after his reintroduction to F1 with Alpine. Aston Martin cashed in on Alonso’s form and everlasting youth to get their team higher on the field.

However, even before Alonso sets foot in his new garage, the Spaniard might already be cooking something up for his future. Or so we think, especially after a photo of him sitting with Red Bull bosses emerged on the internet.

Alonso was photographed sitting with Christian Horner and Dr. Helmut Marko before the Brazil GP sprint qualifying session.
