What do Sergio Perez, Rafael Nadal, and Tom Brady have in common? Well, as of recently, the three will battle it in open seas in an all-new exciting electronic racing series. The Red Bull man diversified and put his hard-earned money into an E1 team recently. Now, to take things one step further, Perez has announced his racers for his team in the E1 Series.
Still not aware of what we’re talking about? Well, let us give you an introduction. The E1 Series is the first electric raceboat championship sanctioned by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the world governing body of powerboating. The idea behind the series is to create a new on-water racing competition with clean tech to safeguard the environment. Perez bought into and so did Rafael Nadal and Tom Brady and became one of the 8 in the series. Now, Perez has announced his drivers for the series.

Perez has come on the other side of a two-man team after being a racer for almost all his life. The Mexican announced his driver lineup for his team called Tea Mexico to complete his team before they can focus on racing. The season starts in February 2024 which will give the team plenty of time to get acquainted.

So the two drivers who will be representing Team Mexico on the open seas will be Dani Clos and Vicky Piria. Clos is a 35-year-old Spanish race car driver who was also a test driver for the now-defunct HRT F1 team.
Clos will drive alongside Vicky Piria, a 30-year-old Italian-British race who raced in the Formula Renault Eurocup and now-defunct W Series. The two race car drivers will take on the seas representing Perez’s team.
The Mexican will hope they can get a hang of it soon because the competition is stiff. If not that, the competition is already pumped up and Tom Brady showcased that.

The retired NFL legend has taken on a new hobby in his life post NFL and it’s the E1 series. The NFL serial winner joined the series as one of the eight owners in the series. By the looks of it, Brady is bringing his competitive spirit to the E1 series as well and not taking it lightly. He proved that with his announcement about joining the series and immediately issuing a warning to the other team owners.

In his Instagram announcement post, he expressed his competitive desire in the caption. The caption read, “So excited to be joining the E1 World Championship and honored to be competing against some of the greatest athletes in the world. Throughout my career, I’ve always been synonymous with speed. That’s just what the fans have come to expect 😂. So, Rafa, Didier, and Checo, get ready, we are coming for the top spot. LFG!”
