F1 is a feisty sport surrounded by drama. Just as the Oscar Piastri, McLaren, and Alpine saga came to an end, a rather shocking one came to light. Sky Sports reporters David Croft and Ted Kravitz were seen arguing live on air, which sent Formula 1 fans into a frenzy.

After a rather bizarre incident, or should we say argument, David Croft and Ted Kravitz were the talk of the town. Croft wanted to learn more about the Alpine situation. However, due to lack of action and only one car on the track, Ted thought it was the ideal time for a commercial break.

Croft said, “Oh right, OK, you’re producing the show then, Ted?”

Kravitz then replied, “The only car on track is a Williams and I could go on and on [about Alpine], but I understood we were going for a break.” David then stated, I can’t see the rest of the track, nor can I see a track map at the moment.”

However, their spat did not end there. The pair exchanged a few uncomfortable sentences before Croft asked Ted to talk about Alpine. But Kravitz was having none of it and denied to answer David’s question. David finally gave up and said, “Ted, I’ll come back to you in a moment.”

The awkward conversation sent shockwaves on F1 Twitter. Fans were quick to let their opinion known on the social media platform. While some fans took Ted’s side, others were just shocked at what they had just witnessed.

F1 Twitter erupts over Croft and Kravitz’s live argument on TV

It’s not every day that we see two well-known journalists arguing on Live TV in Formula 1. The Dutch GP’s Friday Practice Session was definitely an exception, as David Croft and Ted Kravitz had a go at each other.

Moreover, it is a bigger surprise because both of them are fairly experienced reporters for the sport.

Some fans pointed out that David Croft was acting like a stubborn boss who does not care about their employees.

The drama never ends in Formula 1, be it drivers, team principals, or now even commentators. While the Piastri saga came to an end, Crofty and Ted had an expected argument on air. Hopefully, the two will sort out the confusion and we witness a cracking Formula 1 qualifying.
