Lewis Hamilton is a man of many talents. Apart from the obvious, Mercedes’ main man collaborated with Christina Aguilera for a song in 2018 under the pseudonym XNDA. While he is making a comeback to music, it will not be in his XNDA avatar. His latest collaboration is going to be with Major Lazer and it is an unexpected instrument he will play.

Apart from his musical range, Lewis also has quite a taste in movies. The original Top Gun, which he saw during his childhood, inspired him to become a fighter pilot. While that dream didn’t realize, he begged Tom Cruise to give him a role in Maverick when he heard the movie was in the making. He was offered a role of a fighter pilot alongside Cruise but couldn’t commit to the project owing to commitments with the ongoing Formula 1 season.
Major Lazer collabs with Lewis Hamilton
The musical trio Major Lazer’s latest Twitter post has taken Lewis Hamilton fans by storm. They revealed their latest project with African Dance music artists, Major League. They also revealed that the song will have a Lewis Hamilton banjo solo. Stumped, right? In one of the 4 photos they posted, Lewis Hamilton is holding a banjo. A part of the caption read, “Who’s ready to hear @LewisHamilton‘s banjo solo?”
Hamilton fans reacted enthusiastically and urged the trio to release the song. They’ve been teased enough since 2018, as Hamilton hasn’t released his much-anticipated album yet.

While his dream of working with Tom Cruise on Maverick didn’t realize, Hamilton did not give up on his Hollywood dream. He is producing a film based on Formula 1 and roped in Brad Pitt for the main role. Not only that, Hamilton roped in Maverick’s director Joseph Kosinski to work on his project.
Lewis named the production house Apollo Dawn Films. Recently, while talking with Deadline, he revealed the reason behind the name. “Apollo is the Greek god of sunlight, music and poetry, so I’ve always loved the name. Dawn because it is a time of other-worldliness and light, and symbolizes new beginnings. It’s generally a time of day that I love,” he said.
