Be it the fans’ wishes or Isabella’s prayers, Ricciardo managed to finally turn in points for McLaren. The Australian Grand Prix proved to be a good weekend for him. The 32-year-old qualified to Q3 quite comfortably had a solid start and overall faced close to no issues in the race. It was a smooth ride finally, after weeks of trouble for the Aussie.
The McLaren drivers’ start wasn’t very smooth this season. Initially, he fell victim to Covid-19 and missed final practice for the season opener. If that wasn’t enough, then he also faced a brutal DNF and we could see McLaren struggling heavily. Besides, this year could be a career decider for Ricciardo. He struggled with the car last season and was behind his teammate for the most part of the season.
