As children, a lot of us had ambitions of being rich and famous. And as a result of that, we can do anything we want. Some of us might have realized it, some are on the journey, and a lot still finding their way. One Person belonging to the former group is Canada-born Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds. He is at the top of his field in the movie business and has started doing side quests. After successfully turning around the soccer team, Wrexham AFC, he has invested in the F1 Team Alpine. And according to a famous author, Reynolds has not based the investment on proper financial logic.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney invested $2.5 million to buy Wrexham AFC. And they successfully led the club to being promoted to League 2. After that investment, the duo, along with Otro Capital, and RedBird Capital Partners, acquired 24% of Alpine by investing $218 Million. But, as per Grant, author of the 2022 book “Hollywood Sports Movies and the American Dream“, Reynolds has taken the decision based on an impulse.

Wiedenfield said, as quoted by nbcnews, “Maybe there’s some aspect to the business, but I don’t think it’s [Reynolds’] accountant telling him to go invest in this. It’s this crazy idea of ‘Wow, this is an interesting scene to be involved in.’ There’s a sense of adventure to it. … It’s unexpected, and that’s what makes it exciting for him and the public to follow along with it.”

The Hollywood actors are men with great personalities. And that should serve as great PR for the team. Along with that, there might be talks of a documentary being made about the team.
