Toto Wolff and Christian Horner wait for an opportunity to pounce on the other. Even if there is a tiny thing, the other one will make sure to make it look like it’s an issue. Nonetheless, this time around as Toto Wolff accuses Max Verstappen and Co’, Frederic Vasseur comes to the Red Bull’s rescue as he gives Lewis Hamilton and Co a cold reminder. What did Vasseur say?

Max Verstappen won the Hungarian GP with a 30+ second gap to Lando Norris in P2. Despite Max Verstappen’s complaints about the car balance throughout the weekend, he still managed to pull out such a great gap behind him. Toto Wolff advised Max Verstappen’s pace is blistering, and it’s like racing F2 cars against F1[Verstappen]. However, Ferrari Boss jumped to rescue Max Verstappen and Co. from the accusations.

Frederic Vasseur explained how Max Verstappen and Co’s dominance is very similar to how Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes dominated the field back in the mid and late 2010s. According to Formu1a.uno, Frederic Vasseur said, “Give him an F2 and let’s see (laughs). Red Bull is in front, but the feeling is the same as when Mercedes was there. We need to focus on ourselves and do more and minimize mistakes. I don’t think it makes sense to make these kinds of statements.” [Translated via Google]

Charles Leclerc started P6 after a disappointing qualifying session and finished the race in P7. Leclerc could’ve very well finished P5 if it was not for the slow pitstop and the 5-second penalty for speeding in the pitlane. The Monegasque explained how the pace was good on the first stint, but then the pace just dropped off.

According to racefans.net, Charles Leclerc said “The pit stop was quite slow and we had a five seconds penalty for speeding in the pit lane. So it’s again a weekend that is difficult. Honestly, it’s frustrating overall because I felt that with the pace we have today, even as a driver, when you are feeling like you are doing a good job with a car you have, nobody really notices it. And whenever you are doing a bad job, everybody notices it.”
