Following some heartbreaks in the first half of the season, Ferrari experienced some hope during the Canadian Grand Prix. And after a two-week hiatus and with the Austrian Grand Prix approaching, Charles Leclerc seemed to know something about Ferrari’s resurgence. Furthermore, one can sense that the Prancing Horse has something in store for the forthcoming races based on his recent behavior and cheerful demeanor around the Tifosi. And because of this entire scenario, the Tifosi are prompted to say, “Don’t give us hope, Charles.”

Ferrari exited the Gilles Villeneuve circuit with some promising performances, despite failing to fully use their stronger turn of pace at the Canadian Circuit. Having improved from positions 10 and 11 on the grid, both drivers finished in the top 5. The Prancing Horse’s one-pit-stop approach was successful at the stunning North American circuit. Even Red Bull Taskmaster Helmut Marko praised the Ferrari’s race-day speed. However, tire wear has been Ferrari’s biggest problem this season, and it was a major reason why the SF23 struggled in qualifying.

Nevertheless, in order to turn things around, hope is necessary, and it is an only optimism that can provide the Tifosi and Charles Leclerc at the Austrian Grand Prix with the boost they need. Given the history of Leclerc and Ferrari with the chains of misery and their season-long struggles, Ferrari fans did appear somewhat anxious before a significant race. But why?

Why did Charles Leclerc’s optimism make the Tifosi Nervous?

In a few recent clips, Leclerc can be seen charming the crowd and seeming to be in an upbeat state. We recently noticed the Monegasque in a Twitter clip quoting that “he’ll try” to win for Ferrari and its admirers. And in a recent clip that has surfaced online, the crowd asked the Monegasque, “Can we win at the Austria,” to which the 25-year-old replied, “We have to do.” Does this mean that the Scuderia is keeping something in their bag?

However, considering their performance at the track last year and the fact that the Austrian GP is a sprint race where the Maranello team might pick up some significant points, the Tifosi may have high expectations. Nevertheless, the Tifosi vehemently rejected Leclerc’s optimism despite it radiating from his lips.

The supporters also pointed at Carlos Sainz, who had previously been seen making dismal indications that not much would change in the upcoming races.

It’s incredibly hard for the fans to accept any optimism right now since it’s been over 15 years since the Tifosi last had a championship in their cabinet. Having said that, do you think Leclerc’s optimism will alter the perspective of the Prancing Horse fans?
