The seven-time world champion enjoys helping to design certain parts of the car. Lewis Hamilton is one of the biggest names in F1. Fans are always curious to know what their favorite star is doing. The Mercedes star is often found doing unique things. “I always go against the grain and I don’t do what everyone expects of me,” said Hamilton. He further added, “I don’t like to adapt to how a driver is supposed to behave.”

Moreover, he explains with a few examples how he is a bit unconventional, “They say a driver has to be in bed at ten o’clock in the evening, a driver has no tattoos, a driver doesn’t have this and that,” ends Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton demands patent for the creativity he did at McLaren

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton states that he has come up with his own smart steering wheel. The F1 star revealed about his involvement with the same when he was with McLaren.

He said, “What a lot of people don’t know is that I redesigned the steering wheel when I was at McLaren and when I joined Mercedes, I did the same. The 37-year-old described his invention, “All the old steers were initially circular. Now there is a top and the handle goes down, but does not come together at the bottom,” said the Briton.

Hamilton believes that all the other teams have copied his style while designing his steering wheel and demands a patent. He said, ” All the other teams copied the steering wheel. I should have applied for a patent on it.”
