Miami F1 Grand Prix is long over but the madness around it isn’t. As the inaugural Miami race saw a huge influx of fans and Celebrities, the party went on for almost a week. Diplo, a renowned international DJ who played sets after sets have shared his thoughts on the Grand Prix race.

Even though Diplo wasn’t invited to play at the official Miami F1 Grand Prix party, the American DJ made sure he doesn’t miss the chance to show off his skills. As the 43-year-old hopped from party to party around Hard Rock Beach Club, he ended up playing a set until 3 AM.

However, Diplo’s experience at the race venue wasn’t the way he had initially expected. Moreover, the celebrity artist had little idea about Formula 1 as a sport. In a report by New York Times, the showstopper conveyed, “I still don’t know anything about F1. I don’t care about Formula 1 at all, but I care about parties.”

Miami F1 GP, a star-studded event

Celebrity artists who were invited and played sets at Hard Rock Beach Club were The Chainsmokers, Tiesto, Zedd, Blxst, etc. Post Malone and DJ Khaled also had their fair share of appearances along with DJ Extreme, Drew, Germain Rodriguez, Laz, Gianluca Vacchi, and of course Diplo.

Diplo however, criticized the Red Bull box inside the race venue. The box was sponsored by energy drink-based team and had limited capacity. Talking about his experience inside, Diplo further stated, “It was this bad box, like a jail. Also, they had no food, and all I wanted was a sandwich, so I left.”

The 43-year-old DJ continued, “There was a group of seven of us, and three people didn’t have passes, including me. A woman came over to us, and I thought she was going to kick us out, but she was just like, ‘I see you have some extra friends here. Ferrari had already tagged me on social media, so I knew I would be fine,”

Apart from the lined-up artists, celebrities from NBA, NFL, and Tennis were also among the host of other celebrities. From Michael Jordan to Tom Brady, to Serena Williams, the top people from their respective games were among the elite list of people to made the event a grand success.
