The Brazilian Grand Prix is showcasing the unexpected and the fans are excited and also nervous as to how the weekend will turn out. In the midst of a whirlwind of chaos and competition, an F1 team boss picked a driver, who he hopes will bag a win this weekend. And to many’s surprise, it isn’t the Red Bull golden boy, Max Verstappen, or the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton.

In the usual series of interviews post the sprint, drivers and team bosses shared their take on the upcoming race. One such boss that indulged in the anticipation of the incoming race was the Haas team principal, Guenther Steiner. He made his pick and his favorite happens to be a Ferrari man.

Lately, Max Verstappen has undeniably been delivering the best performances in his career. However, Guenther steered towards the Ferrari boy, Charles Leclerc. The Haas man had yet another driver on his mind for a win, who also ceases to be Max Verstappen.

In an interview post the Sprint, Steiner was asked who he would want to see win the race. To this, a focused Steiner instantly replied with Leclerc. He further clarified asking if it was a pick for just the current race or the last as well.

To this, the interviewer reinforced the fact that she was looking for an answer for both races. Steiner, without missing a single beat, said Leclerc for the current one, whilst George Russell would be his pick for the race in Abu Dhabi.

Christian Horner explained the tire decision for Max Verstappen

Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner, got candid in the post-race interview. The Red Bull boss was disappointed with the way things unraveled for the Austrian team on Saturday.

Horner explained, “We felt that the soft was limited in range so we took the decision to start on the mediums, thinking if we could survive the first half of the race, we would be alright.”

“However, when we got there, we found we were suffering worse degradation than anticipated. To add to that, Mercedes had a quick car today and those two factors meant we couldn’t hold them off,” he said, in conclusion.
