Do you recall how Zak Brown shut all exit doors for Lando Norris with his new contract extension? The young Briton cannot leave the team even if the team under-delivers as there is no release clause. Thankfully, Lewis Hamilton is not bound by any such conditions as his Mercedes contract ends this year. Many people believe that Hamilton will leave for Ferrari with the lucrative $48,000,000 in balance. However, Toto Wolff has weighed in on this situation as he talks about Hamilton’s future. What did Toto Wolff say?
Lewis Hamilton and his Ferrari rumors have been all across the paddock and, despite the denial from the Briton himself, don’t seem to be going away. The rumors made sense when Mercedes were struggling to fight for podiums, but the new upgrades have shown huge improvements, making Mercedes the second-fastest car. Nevertheless, speculations of Ferrari being ready with a $48,000,000 for Lewis Hamilton have been growing ever stronger.

According to motorsport-total.com, Christian Nimmervoll said, “Remaining loyal to the Mercedes brand as a racing driver would have a completely different advantage because then he can be a Mercedes brand ambassador until his death. (…) Even at 75, he can still wear the star on his car breast come into the paddock and get a bit of pension money for it. If he really decided to go somewhere else again, he probably wouldn’t do it.” [Translated Via Google]
