Apart from Esteban Ocon and Alpine fans, there will be Tifosi and Charles Leclerc, who’ll be eager to forget the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix as soon as possible. After last year’s nightmare with reliability, the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc is hit with yet another engine problem as his SF-23 came to an unfortunate half in lap 41 of the race. As the red number 16 car came to a slow stop, Ferrari fans all over the world shared their unhappy reactions on social media as they faced yet another disaster in the very first race in Bahrain.
Admittedly, the 2022 and 2023 F1 season has exactly been the opposite so far. From 2022’s Ferrari’s pole and 1-2 finish to 2023’s Red Bull’s pole to 1-2 finish, the table has completely turned. While Max Verstappen stopped with reliability issues last time, Leclerc was on the receiving end this time around.

Leclerc, who went on to take the pole in 2022, ended up winning the Bahrain race last year. As compared to the Monegasque, Verstappen took the pole this season and took home his first-ever Bahrain win and the first season opener win ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez.

The Prancing Horse suffered their first heavy blow as soon as the new season took off. That too against the mighty Red Bulls. This not only takes away their championship chances, but also downsizes their beliefs despite clever approaches.

As things stand, Carlos Sainz remained the lone ranger who was scrapping for points in the race after failing to keep his position from the brilliant Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin. In the end, Sainz finished the race in P4, ahead of Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes.
