The poor luck and poor form of Charles Leclerc continue in Australia! The gravel pit continues to be a villain for Ferrari. Last year it was Carlos Sainz’s enemy, and this year it has become Charles’. Aspiring to get himself back in the hunt for the championship, the Monegasque, rather than jumping up the positions on the grid, found himself in the gravel pit at turn 3! Things couldn’t have gotten worse for him and Ferrari before going into the three-week break ahead of Baku.

Charles Leclerc this time was left with no anger. A victim of a racing incident reminded the fans of his over-a-decade-long video of an on-track incident. A calm and sad voice echoed on the screens from Leclerc’s radio, where the driver had little to say. The pain in his voice was felt by the Tifosi as their hopes of getting more points were dashed. Again, they were left with only one driver doing the heavy lifting in Leclerc’s absence.

Charles Leclerc and Tifosi left fuming

In the hope of making places at the start of the race, Leclerc perhaps got a bit too greedy. Bumping into Lance Stroll, it felt like he knew the mistake as he had found himself in the gravel pit. The fans’ pain continues, as does everyone else’s who had hoped to see him challenge Max Verstappen for a couple of wins.

In this situation, for a change, it wasn’t the fault of those sitting on the Ferrari’s pitwall. After a rather unpleasant qualifying, the race too matched the fate. Now, the team and the fans can only bank on the upgrades coming to Baku and Imola to change their fate.
