How difficult it can be for a child to take unnecessary hate for no fault of his own and still keep growing in life? That’s exactly what Lewis Hamilton did in his childhood. Moreover, Lewis has one of the closest bonds with his father, Anthony Hamilton. Still, when he faced any jabs at school or from anyone else out, the young man did not come to his father in tears. Perhaps Hamilton thought it may make him look weak in front of his dad.

As per Sports Illustrated, Lewis spoke on the recent On Purpose podcast about the same, revealing what his mindset was to hide his emotions. He stated, “I didn’t want my dad to think I was not strong.” The 7-time champion has also elaborated on his intense coping mechanisms as a little boy.
