Despite all his efforts, Nikita Mazepin could only last in F1 for a year. His arrival was the result of an arrangement of convenience as Haas were in dire need of cash to stay afloat and Nikita’s father had exactly that. However, during his stay, the relationship kept getting sour and finally came to an end in 2022, after the conflict between Russia & Ukraine began. Turns out, Nikita is back on the racing track and getting exceptional results. Despite that, he is enduring some mocking from fans.

The relationship between Haas and Mazepin broke down during the rise in global tensions. They sacked the driver and removed Uralkali (Mazepin’s father’s fertilizer company) as their sponsor. Since then, Nikita raced in other disciplines and got the desired results. He recently won the 2022 Silk Way Rally in the SSV class and revealed his desire to make a comeback in F1.
