Alpine has just revealed that Daniil Kvyat will be their reserve driver for the 2021 season. The French team has an amazing car as well as a talented lineup with the likes of Alonso and Ocon hoping to take the team to the next level in their debut season.

The Russian driver was on the grid with Alpha Tauri but was replaced by Yuki Tsunoda for the upcoming year. However, his impressive moments have caught the eye of Alpine.

The fans thought they had seen the last of Kvyat in 2020, but to everyone’s surprise, he will be around the track and learning from his teammates and will be behind the wheel whenever needed.

Alpine come to resurrect Daniil Kvyat

The team took to social media and announced that Kvyat would be their reserve driver for the upcoming season and will be alongside Alonso & and Ocon for the new season.

Kvyat also opened up about the prospects of joining the French team and how he is ready to bring his knowledge of the track to Alpine.

He said, “ I am very excited to join the Alpine family. The team have achieved some great results in the past year and is very technologically advanced. “

He added, “Development has been strong, and I am aiming to contribute to this positive trend. I will try and bring my experience on & off the track to help develop the A521 and future cars as well.

“As a reserve driver, you need to keep sharp and I look forward to integrating into the team in several different areas.”

A bold move from the team

The French team keeps surprising at every turn, first with an amazing car livery, followed by the announcement about Kvyat’s inclusion in the team. The team looks optimistic for their first season since the rebranding and hopes to make an impact.

Alpine will show off their new car on track once they are in Bahrain. The French team will find their way to pre-season testing and will stay there for the opening race that is due on the 28th of March.

The fans are eagerly waiting to see the Russian in his new colors since leaving the Red Bull club. Kvyat entertains on and off the track. Hopefully, fans will get to see more of the same come 2021.
