The Texas school shooting has shaken up the entire world. And now the F1 veteran, Lewis Hamilton, who is well known for raising his voice against social evils, has come out to address the incident. The Englishman shared his thoughts on social media.

Hamilton went to his Instagram and shared the photos of the young kids who lost their lives. Under the photos of the innocent and jubilant faces, Lewis wrote, Devastated to hear more children have been killed in a school shooting. School should be the safest place for children. These are the faces of those who lost their lives…

In the next story, Hamilton expressed, “Praying for all the families who lost their child. I’m also praying for all of the kids in America who are at risk everyday just by going to school”

Can Lewis Hamilton be banned from the Monaco GP?

The governing body of Formula One has now set out to enforce their rules that prohibit drivers from wearing jewelry and mandate them to wear fireproof underwear during a race. Many drivers have rejected these regulations, including Lewis Hamilton. During the Miami GP press conference, the Briton wore multiple watches and necklaces as a sign of protest.

Later, the FIA had a meeting with the Silver Arrow driver. They asked the Mercedes driver to remove all jewelry except some, like his nose stud, which was hard to remove. Moreover, the authorities gave him a ‘grace period’ of two races to remove all the jewelry, including the nose stud. If he fails to follow the rules in Monaco, not only will he have to pay fines, but he can even be banned from the race.

Even the FIA president Mohammed bin Sulayem broke his silence on the issue. “That’s up to him. There are fines that apply,” he said. “You can’t let people off because they are your friends. There has to be one rule for all, and that’s that.”
