4-time world champion and Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel became the latest F1 driver to be robbed of his belongings. Some nefarious individuals in Barcelona stole the bag of the German driver after the Spanish Grand Prix. Seb tried to track them down on his scooter to get his backpack back, but it was to no avail.

The British team confirmed the reports of theft and stated, “A bag belonging to Sebastian Vettel was stolen in Barcelona this morning; he tried to find it by using his iPhone to track his earphones which were in his bag, but when he located his earphones, he found them abandoned and was therefore unable to locate his stolen bag.”

It is the third report of a theft of an F1 driver in recent times. Previously, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris had their Richard Mille watches stolen by thieves at separate events. The event shocked the fans of the 4-time world champion and they sympathized with him on social media.

It is indeed great to see Vettel walk away from the whole incident unharmed and unscathed. But these events are becoming quite common around the world of sports these days.

The local authorities should work on increasing the security around mega-events so that these situations do not occur so often. Thankfully, there have not been any serious injuries to any drivers involved in these scenarios as of yet.
