The USA will be finally having an American driver in F1 for the first time since 2015. Logan Sargeant, hailing from Florida will be racing for Williams in the 2023 season. The American rookie was quite impressive in the 2022 Formula 2 season, finishing 4th in the standings. Besides his racing career, little is known about his family background.
Logan Sargeant was one of the young stars of F2 and many were startled to see his rise through the ranks in the junior series. Although Logan’s father might not be a notable individual, his uncle owns a multi-billion dollar conglomerate.

Logan’s uncle is Harry Sargeant III. He is a former fighter pilot and now runs airline companies, oil trading companies, and refineries, under his business conglomerate. He has projects in alternative fuel development and oil and asphalt shipping as well.
Harry also runs the International Oil Trading company. They supply aviation fuel to the US military in Iraq. Meanwhile, Logan’s uncle’s conglomerate also includes Sargeant Trading. It owns one of the largest tarmac tankers and barges fleets globally.
Harry Sargeant III has gathered quite a fortune from his businesses. Although, Logan’s uncle has also been in the news about the Donald Trump-Ukraine scandal. Apparently, there were rumored investigations of some alleged donations to another American businessman involving a broader agenda.
Nonetheless, Logan Sargeant has nothing to do with the same. He has received a ton of support from his family, especially his parents, regarding his racing career.
Logan Sargeant expressed how his parents have always been his rock
Logan Sargeant has not talked much about his family and parents. Though he once addressed how much they supported his racing. In a feature interview with Formula 2, Logan stated how much his father influenced him.
He said, “Both my parents have always been very supportive of me racing. I feel like he’s [my father] always had my back no matter the situation. Also, the way he goes about what he needs to do and his discipline, as well as his business mindset.”
Jost, thank you for having the trust and belief in me throughout my time in the academy and helping me on my path to F1. He gave me an opportunity to show my potential and race in Formula 2. He has been a great team leader, and I wish him the best in whatever the future may hold! pic.twitter.com/b3zdKnualg
