Before deciding to take a year off from Formula 1, Daniel Ricciardo made a fortune just by his exorbitant salary. Before signing a three-year deal with McLaren, Ricciardo earned $50 million through his contract with Renault. The contract helped him find a place in Forbes’ 2020 list of the top 50 highest-paid sportspeople. Making a move to McLaren, Ricciardo earned $15 million a year, a contract that was cut short to just 2 years. Despite that, according to SCMP, he is worth $50 million.

Daniel Ricciardo’s wine business

Daniel Ricciardo has a fine taste in wines, and the collaboration with St. Hugo was only natural. As per Rolling Stone, Ricciardo’s DR3 x St. Hugo’s bottle costs $80 in the US. In 2022, Daniel partnered with St. Hugo’s chief winemaker Peter Munro for a more hands-on curation of the spirit.

“We have put our hearts into creating wines to be enjoyed and the process has been just as fun and enjoyable as sharing the end-product. This is really something that makes you smile and appreciate the journey it takes to get there,” Ricciardo said.

As per SCMP, Daniel’s range of wines includes a $700 decanter, which comes in the shape of a racing shoe. While pouring an ultra-luxury spirit from a shoe-shaped bottle is fine, we surely wouldn’t recommend doing a shoey with it.

Daniel Ricciardo has his own brewery- couldn’t get more Australian than this

One thing Australians are known for is their love for beer. While Ricciardo loves America, having his own brewery shows that he is still an Australian at heart. Ricciardo collaborated with former F1 champion Jenson Button to set up Blue Coast Brewery in Nice, France.

Listed on Drinks and Co, Blue Coast’s each pint of IPA costs $5.95.

As per the brewery’s official website, lager N3 Daniel Ricciardo Special Edition is sold exclusively online.

Daniel Ricciardo’s long list of endorsements

The Honey Badger also has a host of sponsors, each more popular than the last. Making the list of popular brands is the action camera company GoPro. Ricciardo’s partnership with GoPro started in 2018. Speaking on the partnership, Ricciardo said, “Really stoked to be joining the global GoPro family. I’ve always enjoyed using their products and have admired them as a brand for a long time, especially the awesome content they produce with their athlete partners. Now I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries and having some fun with the GoPro team”

Another one on Daniel Ricciardo’s long list of endorsements is Beats by Dre. We often see Daniel hanging out in the garage and paddock with his headphones on, vibing to some music before the race starts. The headphones he wears, if you ever wondered, are custom-designed Beats by Dre. According to the brand’s website, each of those headphones retails for $349.95.

Cryptocurrency exchange company OKX makes the list of Ricciardo’s endorsements as well. The partnership, according to GlobeNewswire, started in May 2022. OKX furthered their partnerships in Formula 1 with Ricciardo’s 2021-2022 team McLaren.

Daniel Ricciardo renewed his partnership with Optus

Ricciardo also partnered with the telecommunications company SingTel Optus in 2020. Despite looming clouds of uncertainty over the Australian’s future in August this year, the company signed a further extension of 2 years with him.

Optus’ CMO, Melissa Hopkins said, “We look forward to Daniel showing the global Formula 1 community exactly what has made our favorite ‘honey badger’ so formidable. Optus believes great things can happen. Especially in times of adversity and from having the courage and commitment to say yes.”

Daniel’s season did not go as Melissa had thought it would as he finished 11th in the drivers’ standings. He will stay away from regular action on the track in 2023, serving as Red Bull’s third driver.

Ricciardo has his own online merch store called RIC3 where he sells everything Daniel Ricciardo. From T-shirts, hoodies, and shorts to mini helmets, hats, and beanies, you name it.
