Lewis Hamilton always makes the headlines, but the ones leading up to the British GP, in particular, would annoy the world champion. Bernie Ecclestone, among others, publicly suggested Hamilton retire from F1, to which Hamilton hit back. And now this back and forth between the two does not seem to end.

Hamilton hit back at Ecclestone and all other entities with a suggestion for a media hiatus for out-of-time remarks. And this suggestion was not well received by the former F1 CEO. Ecclestone even labeled Hamilton’s comments as “terribly rude” and further suggested he stop his “judgmental bullsh*t.” (translated using google)

Defending himself and his statements, Ecclestone said, to the correspondent for the Blick, “Yes, maybe I’m not sensitive enough. I see a lot of things differently, and I say them because I was kindly asked. But I stand by one statement – Putin has always been fair to Formula 1. And I can’t say that about all promoters.”

And in a bizarre manner, Ecclestone also pointed out how he stood up for the Mercedes man in the past. “Lewis forgot a lot of things… When Mercedes didn’t want to pay what they were asking for, I immediately said I would pay the difference (sic). Because Formula 1 needs a person of color, a Chinese man and a woman,” he added.

Interesting to see Ecclestone angered by Hamilton’s comments that he shouldn’t be given a voice in media.

Hamilton spoke up ahead of the British GP after being bombarded by comments from the elderly. Hamilton was referred to in a racially offensive slur and was advised to retire twice by three different F1 entities.

And understandably, Hamilton hit back at all of them together. He said, “I don’t know why we are continuing to give these older voices a platform. I put to F1 and to the media that we should not be giving these people a platform – these old voices, who, whether it is subconscious or conscious, do not agree people like me should be in this sport.”
