It was an emotional moment for Lewis Hamilton as Angela Cullen left his team in March 2023. A tearful goodbye followed as his physio and confidant of 7 years left his side to pursue her dreams. The void runs deep for Hamilton, as he still misses her every day.
Angela Cullen, a part of the Hintsa Performance Company, started working as Hamilton’s performance coach in 2016. Since then, they have seen mega successes and failures on their journey in F1. She has had a significant contribution to Hamilton’s journey, pushing him to do his best to win multiple WDCs with Mercedes. Though she no longer works with him, she has nothing but respect and pride for him.
Cullen is currently in Bali and embracing the peaceful environment that it offers. The Instagram page angelacullenworld shared a throwback photo of Hamilton and Cullen together, from 2019. She reshared the same post on her story, captioning it “Power of good vibes. Let’s go.. #teamlh“. With the Canadian GP weekend beginning today, Hamilton would appreciate such a gesture from his ex-confidant.

One uncertainty for Hamilton comes in the form of a delayed contract for 2024. As per Toto Wolff, the contract could be signed in a few days or even by the weekend. But it remains unsettled.
Another concern is related to the W14 and its adaptability for Montreal. Toto Wolff believes that the W14 might not be suited for Montreal. He said, as quoted by Skysports, “With its long straights and low-speed corners, it’s not a track that we expect to suit our car as well as Barcelona did.”
