Ferrari aren’t competing now for any silverware. That’s been done and dusted. However, what Ferrari needs now is to give in solid performances to build on to 2023, where they’d hope to challenge for the title. That being said, the Brazilian GP Qualifying has got Mattia Binotto scratching his head.

During the Brazilian Grand Prix Qualifying, Charles Leclerc was the only one out on the Intermediate tires in Q3. It was another Ferrari strategy blunder that cost the Monegasque crucial grid positions. But team principal Mattia Binotto has come up with a plan.

Speaking to Autosport, he said, “What I’m looking at, together with the team, was the process that brought us to such a decision, which I think is more important rather than the decision itself. Was it right or wrong, and why are we doing that when maybe the others didn’t?”

Binotto seems to be taking charge and responsibility for the whole 2022 Championship fiasco. That being said, are the efforts made by the Italian engineer a little too late?

Ferrari aren’t the most patient when it comes to people who don’t fulfill the high expectations bestowed upon them. That being said, Binotto seems to be taking charge of the whole situation. However, is the Italian a day late and a dollar short?

Reports suggest that he might be shown the door for 2023. It would appear that Mattia Binotto may be leaving Ferrari.

As per journalist Leo Turrini, Ferrari has already picked out potential candidates. They are Frederic Vasseur, head of Sauber Alfa Romeo, and Antonello Coletta, the man who manages Ferrari’s successes in the GT sector.
