Rumors of Lando Norris moving to McLaren have been going around the paddock for a while. It all started when Helmut Marko praised Norris and called him the best young driver suggesting that the McLaren driver would be a good fit for Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen. Norris however put the rumors to bed by suggesting that he wants to win with McLaren. His target has been to achieve success with the Papaya team ever since joining F1.
However, Max Verstappen and Co. don’t seem to let go of the Briton that easily as they continue their pursuit for Norris. With Sergio Perez struggling, many believe that Red Bull will be signing a new driver to pair with Verstappen. Helmut Marko recently called Lando Norris the best while praising Oscar Piastri. Lando Norris and McLaren have been on the rise ever since the new upgrades. The Briton has been on the podium with the car looking very competitive. Norris revealed how he had doubts and questioned himself about possible future moves but the recent performance has made him confident about staying at McLaren.
According to Express.co.uk, Lando Norris said “In the back of my mind, there’s that impatient game of, ‘do I stick it out for another few years, or is it time to look at something different?’ But the more we achieve things like we have done over the past few weeks, the more I’m very confident with the decision I made to stay until 2025, and the more confident I am that we can achieve our goals together in the future.”
